Kwaedza Farm is a pioneering Intensive Integrated Farming Systems (IIFS) demonstration farm located in rural Masvingo, Zimbabwe. Born from the vision of creating a resilient and sustainable agricultural model, Kwaedza Farm has evolved into a hands-on learning environment that empowers smallholder farmers with the skills, tools, and insights needed to maximize their resources, embrace regenerative practices, and contribute to food security in Africa.

Our Mission
At Kwaedza Farm, we are dedicated to showing how small-scale agriculture can be both sustainable and profitable. Through our IIFS model, we integrate a diverse range of farming activities, including crop production, aquaculture, aquaponics, vermiculture, bamboo cultivation, poultry, and livestock farming. By sharing our holistic approach, we aim to inspire and equip farmers to adopt integrated systems that regenerate their soil, optimize land use, and produce nutritious food while minimizing environmental impact.

What We Do
Kwaedza Farm is more than just a farm; it’s a collaborative learning space. Through practical demonstrations and hands-on workshops, we teach sustainable practices like vermicomposting, biogas production, azolla cultivation, and agroforestry. Our IIFS approach shows farmers how to diversify income streams by incorporating crops, animal husbandry, value-added products, and eco-friendly technologies into one cohesive system. Visitors can witness how these elements work together, creating a self-sustaining cycle that conserves resources, reduces waste, and fosters a healthy ecosystem.

Empowering Smallholder Farmers
We believe that smallholder farmers are vital to achieving food security in Zimbabwe and across Africa. Kwaedza Farm offers in-depth training programs, online courses, and community outreach to support farmers in implementing profitable, sustainable practices on their land. Through our "Planning for Profit" course, we emphasize the importance of financial literacy and planning for long-term success, helping farmers build resilient, adaptable enterprises.
